CHURCH HISTORY
Founded by Rev Larry N. Boldin, Rev Elijah Valley and Evangelist Michelle Edwards.
The First meeting was scheduled to be at the home of Rev Boldin, however; due to the overwhelming number of people expressing a desire to attend, the ministers worked diligently to find a more suitable location.
The location decided upon was the Chester Pruitt Community Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
The first service was held September 15, 1996; with Rev Boldin as Pastor and Rev Valley & Evangelist Edwards as assistant pastors.
After two and one half years in the Community Center, God blessed our faithfulness and we moved to our first church building located at 312 Pelham Road on March 28, 1999.
In three short years, we were blessed to grow to more than 200 families. God blessed our faithfulness once again and allowed us to relocated to our present location, "Big Blue" at 24 Bass Avenue SW.
Our current membership stands at over 650.
VISION
Being led by the Holy Spirit, we diligently endeavor to minister to the needs of the people whether spiritual, personal, emotional. parental, vocational, physical social, entrepreneurial, cultural or economical. Thereby creating a Holistic Zone.
Our desire is to make a significant difference for Christ in the community where God has called us to serve.
The Pastor believes God will be pleased with Striving if we continue to humble ourselves, be obedient to His Word, and faithfully follow Christs instruction to do for the least of these that are amongst us.
Gods blessings are upon us and He opens doors that no man can close.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
A Spirit-filled Life, separated from the world and perfecting Holiness in the fear of God (1 Corinthians 1:2-14; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1; Ephesians 5:18-21). In the healing of the body by divine power (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14).
In the table of the Lord, commonly called the Holy communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers
(1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28).
That there is one true universal church, made up of genuine believers. This one universal church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as propagation of the gospel (Acts 15:22; Matthew 16:18; 18:15-20).
Every soul should be subject to governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God and God appoints the authority that exists. We declare our loyalty to our government and its leaders and will assist in every way possible consistent with our faith, in scripture, as Christian citizens (Romans 13).

Ministry Opportunities:
Pastor, Larry N. Boldin
Was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 7, 1953. At an early age he confessed Christ and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church by Rev. W.F. Alford. He attended school at Booker T. Washington through his 11th grade year and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1971.
Shortly after graduation from high school he joined the United States Air Force where he faithfully served God and his country for 28 years, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. During his military career, he led many people, and managed many Air Force projects valuing millions of dollars. Pastor Boldin was extremely active in the military chapel systems. He was ordained a deacon in 1984 at Torrejon AB Spain where he taught bible study and delivered inspirational messages at Friday night Worship Services. He later moved to Ramstein AB Germany where he taught bible study and led the Mens Fellowship. On June 7, 1992 he was licensed to preach the Gospel at the Vogelweh Gospel Service in Ramstein Germany. Pastor Boldin also coached the Ramstein Air Base football team to numerous championships during his tenure.
Upon his return to the United States in 1993 to Hurlburt Field AFB, Fort Walton Beach, FL, he worked at Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command as the command and control chief enlisted manager. He also went to work for the Lord in the base chapel where he assisted the head chaplain with the Gospel service, taught bible study and was president of the Protestant Parish Council. He was ordained to preach the Gospel on June 24, 1995 at Evelenar Baptist Church in Crestview, FL.
In Sept 1996, he co-founded Striving for Perfection Ministries and assumed duties as the Pastor with a vision for a Christ-centered, interdenominational church of Christian believers committed to a life-long pursuit of perfection. Perfection in a sense of striving to be mature and complete in Christ; not majoring on the minor issues that divide the Body of Christ. The first service was held with approximately fifty-six people in attendance. Since that time God has shown great favor toward the ministry. They have gone from worshipping in a recreation center to a new 18,000 square foot facility and a membership of over 700. The ministry has created a Community Development Corporation under the church to assist in carrying out the vision to create a Holistic Zone. A place where Gods people can have their needs met, whether spiritual, personal, emotional, vocational, parental, physical, social, entrepreneurial, cultural or economical. The ministry birthed A Royal Generation Development of Kings and Queens, a 501(C)(3) community youth program committed to developing a generation of youth in this community, empowered to make a positive difference in any community.
Pastor Boldin is an anointed teacher of the Word who believes that we must be humble before the Lord, obedient to the Lord, mature in the Lord, and enthusiastic about the Lord. He is a man of integrity who truly loves the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul, with all his mind and with all his strength.
Pastor Boldin is an active leader in the community. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton Counties; serves as Vice-President of the Academic Excellence Society; and he is a mentor in the Okaloosa County School System.
He has been married 35 years to his high school sweetheart; Jenett (Douglas) Boldin of Montgomery, Alabama and they have three lovely daughters, Felita, LeQuanda, and Candace. They have one grandson, Elijah (EJ).
